Canon’s print technology boasts an impressive 1472 nozzles, with 320 dedicated to black and 384 for each of cyan, magenta, and yellow. What’s more, this technology can produce a minimum ink droplet size as small as 2 picolitres for color printing. However, when printing in black, the minimum ink droplet size increases to 30 picolitres.

Despite the varying ink droplet sizes, the Canon technology still manages to achieve impressive printing speeds. In fact, it can print up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome mode on an A4 plain paper.

The speed of printing in color can reach up to 17 pages per minute (ppm), while printing photos on photo paper only takes 55 seconds. The bordered page allows for a print width of 203.2 mm, which is equivalent to 8 inches. However, borderless printing can reach up to 216 mm, which is almost the same as 8.5 inches. The top margin measures 38.3 mm, while the bottom margin measures 31.2 mm. This printer supports various media types, including plain paper, super white paper, high-resolution paper, and photo paper pro.

There are several types of photo paper available, including photo paper plus glossy, photo paper plus semi-gloss, glossy photo paper, and glossy photo paper for everyday use.
